Employment Law Advice Service (ELAS)

The Employment Law Advice Service (ELAS) offers guidance to members and their practices who have employment law issues. This service is provided via subject matter experts.

Eligibility

The eligibility to utilise ELAS is as follows:

  • individuals about their personal employment law queries, or 
  • sole practitioners, managing partners or legal practitioner directors of an incorporated legal practice about such enquiries related to the conduct of their practice, where their practice has no more than 10 practising certificate holders.
  • must be a full QLS member.
  • must have a referral from QLS Practice Advisory Service or Ethics and Practice Centre.

Usage Limits

The service will provide up to 2 hours of advice to an eligible individual member or practice.
