WLAQ Ladder mentoring program

The purpose of the Women Lawyers Association of Queensland Ladder program is to support and nurture women in the early stages of their legal careers. The program matches law students and early career lawyers with more experienced women in the profession who can encourage, assist and empower young women to take advantage of opportunities in the law. The ladder program helps develop professional contacts, and assists women in taking responsibility for their learning and career direction.

The ladder program has enjoyed many years of success and continues to attract impressive mentors (including senior members of the Profession and members of the judiciary) as well as many promising and enthusiastic ‘mentees’.

To be a mentee you must be a WLAQ member, and either a law student or a lawyer with less than five years PAE. If you'd like to be a mentor, you don't need to be a member, but you must have at least five years PAE.

This year's program commences on 8 May. For more information on how to participate, check the WLAQ website.
