ABC Law Report

The Law Report is always interesting, but this recent episode about employers being liable for psychiatric injury is especially so. The High Court has unanimously restored more than $400,000 in damages to a lawyer who suffered PTSD while working for the Victorian Office of Public Prosecutions.

2022 Queensland Legal Walk

LawRight needs help to save their access to justice projects! They are aiming to raise $200,000 from the Legal Walk on 17 May, which will fund two projects: Magistrates Court service for self-represented litigants, and financial counsellor services for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The Brisbane walk starts at 7am at the Supreme Court. Check the link for other locations across the state.

That's all for now. See you in June!
